Description of Testing Opportunities

Option 1: This is last year's version of our NC EMPT test to be used early in a new term to pretest Algebra II, Integrated Math III, Advanced Functions and Modeling, Pre-Calculus, Discrete Math, and upper-level math classes. The results of this test help gauge the amount of review needed and quickly recognize students' mathematical strengths and weaknesses. It is suggested that Option 1 tests be administered in August/September, and for block scheduling in January/February.

Option 2: This is the new version of the NC EMPT test. It should be used near the completion of Algebra II or Integrated Math III, or at any time in Advanced Functions and Modeling, Pre-Calculus, Discrete Math or upper-level math classes. See the testing windows available for this option on the registration forms below.

Registration Forms for Option 1 and/or Option 2:

Complete these forms quickly and painlessly online. Be sure to make extra copies for your records before submitting the information online.

Testing materials will arrive at your door at least two weeks before your scheduled testing date. Simply return the completed opscan forms to our office for grading.
